I'm Andrew Effendy, a graphic designer based in Los Angeles County and Orange County. I studied Graphic Design at California State University, Long Beach and graduated in 2009.

In 2007, I discovered a photography book called "Robert Frank: Storylines" at a bookstore. This book motivated me to join photography classes. There, I learned about film photography, darkroom printing, and window mounting. I spent time exploring art galleries, museums, and fairs, observing different art and picture frames. Inspired, I decided to learn woodworking in order to create my own picture frames.

I started Fort Spur in 2010 because of my passion for art and woodworking. According to Chinese astrology, wood is my element.
